TEN Sports (or Taj Entertainment Network) is an Indian sports channel owned and operated by Zee Network. For Pakistan & India there are different Ten Sports Live Tv Channels Ten Sports was launched on April 1, 2002, and became the world's premier sports channel for South Asians, reaching over 55 million homes across the Arab world,Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Ten Sports was previously owned by the United Arab Emirates based Abdul Rahman Bukhatir.[1] He sold the company for 114 million USD to Zee Telefilms in 2010.[2] TEN's senior management left the company after the sale.[3]
TEN Sports sister channel includes TEN Cricket which is a 24 hour Cricket Channel, TEN Action+ which is a 24 hour Football Channel TEN Golf which is a 24 hour Golf Channel.[4]
Transmission
The TAJ TV Network transmits three localized beams via the Intelsat 10 Satellite targetingArab World, India and Pakistan. The beams are also available throughout the subcontinent(including Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh, South-East Asia (including Hong Kong,Singapore, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Tonga). Each beam is customized in terms of programming, scheduling, graphics, music, on-air promotions and marketing.
Web cast
Ten Sports and media company NBCUniversal launched a new, free, cricket-focused multi-platform sports portal, which made its debut with the Web cast coverage of the first match in the series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka on September 8, 2009. NBC Universal Digital Solutions (NBCUDS) will syndicate live cricket Web cast to its selected syndication partners for wider distribution. The portal featured live Web cast of full cricket matches that encompass exclusive content from half of the world’s cricket boards, including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. Following the purchase of the company by Zee Telefilms, this venture ended.
Retransmissions of selected events
Australia received a live transmission of the TEN Sports broadcast during the Australia V Pakistan cricket ODIs in April and May 2009 on cable television station Fox Sports. Australia received on air graphics of TEN Sports, as well as local commentary, however during drink and lunch breaks, Fox Sports returned Australian viewers to their studio for a panel discussion focusing on Australian developments, hosted by either Nick McArdle or Brendon Julian with two other panellists. Coverage began live around 8:30pm Australian Eastern Time, ending around 5am the following day.
Broadcasting rights
In 2010, Taj Entertainment Network reached a multi-million dollar deal with the U.S based Goal TV, securing the broadcast rights of the Spanish La Liga and Serie A matches in the sub-continent.[5][6]
The Spanish and Italian League rights were returned to ESPN Star Sports from the 2012-13 season.[7]

TEN HD was launched in October 2011. It broadcasts live and delayed sporting events from different sports genres in high definition.[8] It is available in Airtel Digital TV, Dish TV , Hathway , Videocon d2h, Reliance Digital TV
